What is Praise Kids?
Praise Kids is our ministry for kids ages 4 through
10. All Praise Kids ages 4 through
10 meet for “Kid’s Korner” Sunday mornings during the sermon at the 10:00
AM Sunday worship. Every third
Thursday all Praise Kids will meet at the church or at the Gafford’s home! We will meet on Thursday nights in two
groups:
Peabody’s Praise Place – Kids ages 4
through 7
Kids will join Peabody Panda and his friends who live in the town of
Paradise. They will go on many
adventures as they discover what it means to walk on “Promise Path”.

Praise Palace
– Kids ages 8 through 10
Kids will discover what it means to be part of the King’s Kingdom, and how
to be an overcomer using the Bible as the “Book of Order”. The Living Word will provide clues as
they go on Kingdom Quests of discovery.
We will discover how God’s Word applies to our daily lives.

Vision for Praise Kids
At Praise
Place church, kids are a priority. We teach our children about the wonderful
promises that God provides for us in His Word. We learn about the principles that are
also contained in the Word that allow us to enjoy the blessings promised to
God’s kids. Through puppet shows,
skits, monologues, object lessons, crafts and games we focus on teaching
concepts kids need to understand as they grow in love.
We focus on “Praise” as
one of the foundations of our lives.
As we “Praise our Abba Father in heaven we remember that He is in
charge of our lives and loves us with an everlasting love. “Praise brings the presence of the Lord
into “Praise Place.” Our world is ever-changing, and yet kids
can live joyful, overcoming lives as they learn about God’s amazing plan
for each of them.
Each child is special in
His sight, and unique in the gifts and talents from the Holy Spirit that
they have been given. We desire to
provide kids with the opportunity to discover, develop, and share their
gifts and talents. We provide
opportunities for them to share their talents with each other, the church
family, and in various age appropriate outreach activities.

About Our Children’s Pastor
Jody Gafford has nearly 25
years of experience working with children.
She has served on staff at various churches in California,
New York, New Jersey. Jody has served as a worship and drama
director for children and youth for many churches.
A private piano and voice
instructor, Jody has taught elementary school music in California
and New York City. She has served as an adjunct faculty
member at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music and taught music at Park Slope
Public School in Brooklyn, New York.
Jody has extensive
performance experience as a classical singer and spent three years in a
repertory company performing everything from Broadway to Shakespeare.
Her greatest love is
working with God’s kids. She has
written many musicals and sketches for the kids that she has led, creating
a means of expression suitable for the number of children and unique gifts
they possess. Pastor Chuck and Jody
are currently working on a “Praise Place”
curriculum for 4-7 year olds to be utilized in our programs.
Pastor Jody is the proud
mother of one Praise Kid, Catie and one MTC Youth kid, Chuckie III.
